The 2005 Beneteau Oceanis 393 is a 39-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design. Powered by a single 40-horsepower Perkins diesel engine, she cruises at 7 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 9 knots. The boat combines seaworthy design with practical accommodations suited for passage-making and extended cruising.
The interior features two cabins and one head with shower forward. The main saloon offers a U-shaped galley to port, navigation station and bar to starboard, and a large dinette with inboard bench seating for eight. An athwartship double berth lies tucked under the cockpit. The mahogany-stained interior is lit by three acrylic cabin-top windows and six deadlights, with good ventilation through ports and hatches. Air conditioning with reverse-cycle heat is installed.
On deck, a Simpson Lawrence electric windlass handles a Delta anchor with 50 feet of chain and 150 feet of nylon rode installed in 2019. The boat carries double lifelines with gates on both sides and stern, a bow pulpit and stern pushpit, teak hand rails, and a Navy Blue Sunbrella dodger and bimini top both from 2006. A swim platform with fold-down ladder and hand-held stern shower are fitted. The cockpit features teak seating and sole, a folding table, and large locker.
Navigation and safety equipment includes a Raymarine C-80 GPS, RC 520 GPS/Chart Plotter, Raytheon ST60 instruments, ICOM VHF radio, and Fusion Bluetooth stereo. Electrical systems comprise three batteries with parallel switch, 20-amp multi-stage charger, and both 12-volt DC and 110-volt AC panels. Six adult PFDs, flares, horn, two fire extinguishers, and full navigation and running lights round out the safety package.
