2005 Cabo Rico 42 Pilot

The 2005 Cabo Rico 42 Pilot is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for serious ocean cruising. Powered by a Yanmar 56 hp diesel engine, it also carries a Westerbeke 5.5 kW genset, Vetus bow thruster, and a double head rig with furling headsail and boom furling. The pilothouse design includes a full inner helm with 360-degree visibility and demonstrates world-class construction throughout.

The layout maximizes accommodation in a 42-foot package with three cabins: a centerline master forward with ensuite head and large shower, a port over/under cabin, and a starboard aft double. The pilothouse incorporates functional hidden storage—a work room beneath the raised seating includes a mounted vise, additional freezer, and spare parts storage. The boat is rigged as a genuine sailing vessel with strong performance characteristics, not a motorsailer.

Between 2021 and 2025, Willow underwent extensive and continuous refit work across all systems. The yacht has been maintained by a knowledgeable owner and is fully equipped and ready for long-range, expeditionary cruising.
