The 2005 Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40 is a 41-foot fiberglass catamaran designed for blue-water cruising. Built using resin infusion technology, the hull combines light weight with structural strength. Twin Yanmar diesel engines of 58 horsepower each were installed in 2018.
The layout features four cabins and two heads arranged across the bridgedeck design. The galley sits elevated next to the saloon, with a large sliding glass door connecting to the cockpit and allowing natural ventilation throughout the living spaces. Lines run back to the starboard helm station, which includes a double seat integrated into the cockpit for single-handed operation and crew communication.
The boat accommodates four cabins with two separate heads. Control of the boat concentrates at the protected helm position on the starboard side, where all running rigging terminates for efficient handling by a small crew or solo sailor.
