The 2005 Hunter 33 is a well-proportioned cruising sailboat built for both family sailing and single-handed operation. With berths for six and a spacious cockpit, the boat combines livable accommodations with practical seamanship. A 29 horsepower Yanmar diesel engine provides reliable auxiliary power, and all systems are easily accessible throughout the boat.
Recent improvements enhance comfort and usability. New cushions were installed in 2020, and an air conditioning unit was added in 2019. The sails—a Doyle furling main and Doyle 110% furling jib, both from 2016—make sail handling straightforward. A custom teak companion way door was fitted in 2021, with original slats also included. The folding wheel has been upgraded, and a refrigerator is aboard.
A custom winter cover, made by Anchors & Thread in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and first used in 2022, is included with the boat. The boat is currently on the hard with the cover removed, ready for the water.
