2005 Hunter 33

The 2005 Hunter 33 is a fiberglass sloop built for both comfort and capable cruising. At 33 feet in length with an 11.5-foot beam, she offers the interior volume hunters are known for, with two staterooms and a head arranged around a well-appointed salon. The boat features a Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engine producing 29 horsepower, paired with a three-bladed Nibral propeller.

The yacht carries extensive systems and equipment throughout. Navigation relies on a Raymarine E125 touch screen chartplotter with autopilot and wind instruments. Communication includes a VHF radio with a wired cockpit handset, while onboard comfort is enhanced by 16,000 BTU air conditioning, a microwave, and a front-loading refrigerator installed within the last two years. Hot and cold transom showers are fitted, along with new seacocks, a new water heater, and a dry bilge system. The cabin features LED lighting, Corian counters, and additional wooden shelves in each stateroom.

The sailplan centers on a Selden mast with a large roach mainsail, a 110-percent furling jib, and a code "0" sail. The rig includes dual self-tailing winches, internal halyards led to the cockpit, and dual single-line reefing. Deck hardware comprises aft-mounted jib and spinnaker winches with tracks, a Lewmar folding wheel with direct drive steering and single-lever engine control, and an arch-mounted mainsheet traveler. A bimini arch provides shade, while custom stainless steel dinghy davits and two 340-watt solar panels with a Bluetti generator support extended cruising.

The boat benefits from recent maintenance: bottom paint from 2021, a new water heater, new seacocks, and a newly installed propeller. Cushions in the cockpit are in excellent condition, and a winter cover is included. The shoal draft keel draws 4.5 feet, suited to shallow-water exploration.
