2005 Marstrom Seacart 30

A 2005 Marstrom Seacart 30 trimaran designed by Marc Lombard and built by Marstrom Composites. This 30-foot fiberglass multihull features a 19-foot beam and was extensively refit from 2022 to 2024, with a complete disassembly during which all known issues were addressed. Four sails were purchased within the last year of the refit.

The boat carries modern racing electronics and navigation systems, including B&G H5000 processors, Zeus 3S chartplotter, multiple Garmin displays, Raymarine autopilot with backup tiller pilot, AIS, and VHF radio with DSC. Power comes from a 20-horsepower four-stroke Tohatsu outboard with electric start installed in 2021, plus an original five-horsepower two-stroke Mercury outboard. The electrical system features Victron lithium batteries with smart monitoring and management systems, complemented by an Efoy 80 fuel cell for underway charging.

Rigging was completely rebuilt between 2021 and 2024 with carbon forestay, Dyneema shrouds, and Karver furlers on the gennaker, screecher, genoa, and jib. The main halyard is 2:1 with remote jammer and adjustable lazy jacks. New rudders designed by Larry Tuttle with a redesigned kick-up system were installed in 2022, and the amas feature custom t-foils. The cockpit has been custom redesigned, the rear deck raised three inches to reduce flooding, and a custom carbon outboard bracket replaces the original track system. The boat includes a removable galley with gimballed stove, custom carbon pipe berth, and protective covers for sails and equipment.
