2005 Seahorse Coot 35

The 2005 Seahorse Coot 35 is a steel-hulled trawler built by Seahorse Marine to Chinese CCS standards and designed for extended cruising in protected waters. With twin John Deere diesel engines producing 130 horsepower each, the boat cruises at 7 knots and burns approximately one-third gallon per hour, allowing for week-long passages without refueling. The steel construction and full-keel design provide durability and protection for the prop and rudder, while an oversized rudder is removable for service.

The deck layout prioritizes safety and ease of movement, featuring 13-inch bulwarks, 16-inch side decks, heavy handrails, and non-slip coating. A welded pipe station and rail system runs around the boat. The pilothouse provides shelter during extended cruising seasons.

Recent work includes a full paint job and structural repairs completed in Asia, followed by additional upgrades in Oregon: new Raymarine navigation and radar system, engine mount reset, voltage conversion and inverter installation, Wabasto diesel heater, new Dometic refrigerator, new compass, and engine service. The fuel tank was topped with an extra 100 gallons of diesel.
