2006 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43

This 2006 Fountaine Pajot Belize 43 catamaran is a four-cabin, two-head cruising yacht built in fiberglass with a 43-foot hull and nearly 23-foot beam. Twin Volvo D1-30 diesel engines deliver 60 horsepower each, with sail-drive systems fitted with three-blade Max Prop propellers. The engines have run 2,500 hours (port) and 4,500 hours (starboard) and underwent complete overhaul in 2025, including new alternators, starters, and extensive gasket and bearing replacement.

The sailing rig is substantial and well-maintained. Standing rigging was replaced in 2026. Two full suits of sails are aboard: the primary set comprises a three-reefed mainsail with hydraulic boom and a genoa both in very good condition, while a second set of mainsail and genoa with lazy bag is in good condition. An asymmetric spinnaker on a retractable carbon pole completes the wardrobe. Profurl furlers and Lewmar self-tailing winches handle the sails.

Power and water systems are comprehensive. The electrical setup includes a 110 Ah engine battery and five 116 Ah service batteries, two inverters (3000W and 800W), and 25 Ah charger. Solar panels (600W combined), two wind turbines (800W combined), and a Efoy fuel-cell generator (100W) provide renewable charging. Fresh water capacity totals 900 liters across two tanks with filtration. Heating comes from two Webasto units serving all four cabins and saloon. Navigation electronics include Raymarine instruments with autopilot, color plotter with touchscreen, AIS, and VHF. A 3.4-meter tender with 9.8 hp Tohatsu outboard is included.

The yacht shows evidence of thoughtful ownership and consistent upkeep. Recent work includes professional remounting of roof acrylic panels (2024), new bronze stanchion bases in custom stainless steel, new self-aligning rudder bearings and textile steering cables, 2024 epoxy antifouling with 2025 recharge, and a reinforced, revised windlass with 60 meters of stainless chain and two anchors. Spares for rigging, electrical, and engine systems are aboard, and original invoices are retained.
