2006 Mainship 34 Trawler

The 2006 Mainship 34 is a fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising in demanding waters. She combines classic Downeast styling with a notably wide 14-foot 3-inch beam that sets her apart in her class, creating generous side decks and a spacious salon rarely found in comparable vessels. The single Cummins 380-horsepower QSB 5.9 diesel engine delivers a comfortable 8-knot cruising speed and a maximum of 14 knots. Bow and stern thrusters, a fully enclosed flybridge with dual helm stations, and a covered walk-around deck arrangement suit year-round cruising in the Pacific Northwest.

The salon opens from the cockpit through full-height double doors and benefits from the wide beam; large, well-positioned windows allow views and natural light from a seated position. A leather pull-out sofa with new mattress accommodates guests, and ventilation is excellent throughout—the center windshield opens, side windows slide, and multiple overhead hatches provide cross-flow. The galley sits two steps down with Corian counters, a two-burner propane cooktop, and a Norcold refrigerator. An additional 35-gallon freshwater tank extends range.

The master stateroom forward holds a queen island berth with 6 feet 6 inches of headroom, cedar-lined hanging locker, and under-berth storage. A separate head includes a full-height shower with seat, Corian countertop, and hot and cold water—uncommon in this size. The engine room is notably accessible and well-laid-out, with generous working space around the engine and systems. An 8-kilowatt Kohler generator, Wallas diesel furnace, solar array added in 2025, and multiple bilge pumps support extended cruising. The 2023 Highfield CL340 tender with 25-horsepower Yamaha and Seawise davit system are included. Raymarine electronics with dual displays, autopilot, and radar outfit both helms; a rebuilt electric windlass and new depth sounder transducer complete the navigation suite.
