The Seacart 30 BUZZ is a 30-foot composite trimaran with a 21.82-foot beam, designed for both inshore and offshore racing. Hull #4 from this successful class, the boat has earned numerous race wins including RORC Offshore Championship titles (2018, 2019, 2020), line honours in multiple events, and a 4th-place MOCRA finish in the 2019 Fastnet Race with a sub-40ft multihull record. The deck layout was developed by Peter Hobson of the Hugo Boss 7 design team and rigger Scott Cavanaugh to optimize efficiency and ease of sailing. Sails were built by Ullman and Doyle, with the mainsail by Dale Mitchell and headsails from the same team that built Hugo Boss 7's wardrobe.
A comprehensive refit in 2018 included new standing and running rigging, new electronics and electrical systems, and a custom four-wheel trailer with storage box. In 2023, further upgrades focused on single-handed capability: roller-reefing furling jib, Harken ball-bearing batten cars and mast track, Anomaly gaff lock for the square-top mainsail, trampoline bags, new telescopic tiller extensions, a Suzuki 15 hp four-stroke outboard engine, and a swim ladder.
During 2024, the beams, rudder bar and cassettes, rudder blades, daggerboard, companionway hatch, and amas were re-varnished, and the center hull was polished. The boat was stored indoors throughout 2024 and 2025, and enters the 2026 season in outstanding condition.
