This 2006 X-Yachts X-40 is a 40-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built for extended cruising. Powered by a Yanmar 40 hp diesel engine, it combines the brand's renowned handling characteristics with comprehensive offshore equipment added or updated between 2024 and 2025.
The boat sleeps three cabins with one head. Recent interior work includes refinished flooring completed in 2024 and custom-fitted mattresses. The galley and accommodations benefit from upgraded freshwater systems: tanks have been cleaned and expanded to 300 liters with new plumbing, and a new Katadyn 40E desalinator was installed in 2025 and remains unused. Power generation comes from dual 120-watt solar panels mounted on a stainless steel arch added in 2024, supplemented by 200 watts across the bimini cover.
The sailing rig is complete with a 2023 Vortex genoa, 2021 composite storm jib, and three spinnakers. Standing rigging was fully inspected during demasting in 2026, with a removable upper shroud added at that time. Navigation electronics comprise a full Raymarine system centered on a 2024 Axiom touchscreen display mounted outside.
Hull maintenance includes osmotic treatment completed in 2019; the hull was polished and antifouled in 2025. The engine shows 1,700 hours and received a full service with new saildrive joint in 2025.
