2007 Hanse 540e

The Hanse 540e is a 53-foot composite-hulled cruising yacht built with epoxy-infused construction that prioritizes light weight, rigidity, and osmosis protection. Her 16-foot beam supports wide teak decks, a low cabin profile, and an expansive cockpit that creates the sense of a considerably larger boat. An electrically operated teak bathing platform, transom garage, and generous outdoor spaces—including custom-built sunbeds fore and aft—define her deck layout. The hull and superstructure are painted dark grey and would benefit from repainting.

Propulsion comes from a 110 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine paired with a bow thruster for maneuvering. The sailing inventory includes a slab-reefing mainsail with lazy bag and lazy jacks, self-tacking jib, genoa, gennaker, Code 0, and spinnaker, along with electric winches. Navigation relies on a Raymarine package installed new in 2025, and onboard systems include a generator, dinghy with outboard, air conditioning, dishwasher, and washing machine.

Below deck, the interior showcases satin American Cherry joinery, anthracite Corian countertops, and generous headroom throughout. Three cabins accommodate up to six guests: the forward master suite and port aft guest cabin each have ensuite bathrooms, while the starboard aft cabin has been converted into a pantry and storage space, freeing the original third head for extended cruising. The layout balances comfort with practicality for family passage-making.
