TIME OUT is a 2007 Leopard 43 catamaran, a fiberglass cruising cat with four cabins and four heads. Built by Robertson & Caine to a design by Simonis-Voogd, she measures 43 feet in length with a 23.5-foot beam and is powered by twin 94-horsepower Yammer diesel engines.
The accommodation layout suits families and cruising with guests across four separate cabins. The yacht's standout feature is comprehensive equipment for self-sufficient cruising. Power generation includes 950W of solar panels with a 10-year manufacturer warranty across five units, feeding twin lithium phosphate house banks totalling 500Ah (the larger installed in 2021, with a further 200Ah added in 2024). A 5,000W pure sine wave inverter, Victron Centaur charger, and a brand-new 350W wind generator (awaiting installation) provide redundancy. Watermaking and Marinaire air-conditioning and heating systems ensure comfort in any climate. Shore power is fitted throughout.
Navigation and electronics are Raymarine throughout: Axiom 9 chartplotter, autopilot, wind instruments, depth sounder, and GPS, complemented by Simrad VHF/AIS and forward-facing sonar in the port hull. Entertainment includes a Denon projector with roll-down screen and Fusion stereo system.
Recent and current work includes a full engine service in 2024, replacement of all seacocks with Truedesign units (August 2024), new antifouling (2024), and installation of a Hull Sonic ultrasonic antifouling system (2025). R&D Marine flexi couplings were fitted to both drive chains in August 2024. New anchor chain (10mm x 50m), seven life jackets, and replaced cockpit enclosures (2023) are all included. She comes with a comprehensive inventory of cruising equipment.
