The 2008 Hinckley Talaria 40 is a composite-hulled jet boat built to the exacting standards Hinckley is known for. Powered by twin Yanmar 6LF530 diesel engines producing 530 horsepower each, the boat reaches a maximum speed of 30 knots and cruises efficiently at around 22 knots. A complete repower was performed in 2022, with new ZF280-1 gearboxes, Kohler generator, Dometic air conditioning, and Victron battery bank installed at that time. The engines currently show approximately 400 hours of operation.
The yacht accommodates one cabin with a single head. It features joystick control for precise maneuvering and is equipped with an A+SEA shore power frequency converter that allows operation at 110V or 220V in either 50Hz or 60Hz configurations, making it compatible with marinas worldwide.
Maintenance and upgrades totaling over €400,000 have been documented since 2020 by SRT Marine in Marseille. The hull, Hamilton jet drives, varnish, and Awlgrip topside paint have been regularly maintained. The boat has been stored ashore in a heated, covered facility for its entire operational history and has been kept to high standards throughout.
