2008 Hunter 45 Deck Salon

The 2008 Hunter 45 Deck Salon is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built around a design that balances comfort with practical seamanship. At 45 feet with a 14.5-foot beam, she offers substantial interior volume alongside manageable handling for cruising couples or small crews. The raised salon with large windows floods the interior with natural light, and the hull features the B&R rig designed for ease of sail management. A single 75-horsepower Yanmar diesel provides quiet propulsion, while an 8-kilowatt generator supports onboard systems.

Below deck, the two-cabin, two-head layout centers on a generous main salon with U-shaped dinette and a full-service galley forward of the companionway. The forward cabin contains a pullman berth to port with an ensuite head. The master stateroom aft features a centerline queen berth with custom mattress and its own head with shower. Both cabins and the salon feature cherry cabinetry, Corian countertops, and abundant headroom. The galley includes a new Force 10 stove with oven, a 2018 Isotherm refrigerator and freezer, and wraparound counter space. A navigation station sits to starboard facing forward; Diesel forced-air heating and air conditioning serve the main salon and aft cabin.

Electronics are comprehensive, centered on a 12-inch Raymarine Axiom chartplotter and Quantum radar, with dual helm stations equipped with Raymarine multifunction displays and a dedicated navdesk below. Starlink capability (hardware only) provides connectivity options. Entertainment includes a 37-inch Vizio smart television and Bose stereo with Bluetooth throughout. The electrical system features an 800-amp-hour lithium house bank installed in 2023, a 3-kilowatt inverter-charger, and 400 watts of solar.

The rigging includes paired Lewmar 40 cabin-top winches and primary Lewmar 48 winches at both helms; an electric windlass handles the anchor system. Sails, rigging, and running gear are in working order. Recent maintenance includes a new PSS dripless shaft installed in 2023, fresh bottom paint from June 2023, and a new dodger. A side-power bow thruster aids maneuvering. Davits support a tender, and generous cockpit cushioning completes the outdoor space.
