This 2008 J/122 is a 40-foot fiberglass sloop built for competitive sailing. The boat underwent a comprehensive rebuild in 2023 at Dencho Marine, executed with performance optimization as the primary objective. The keel and rudder were re-engineered with updated sectional shapes, precision-faired, and fitted with kelp cutters. A new carbon rudder was installed, and the Hall Spars carbon rig was stripped to its base laminate and refinished. Deck layout was redesigned with modern hardware and winches upgraded for crew efficiency.
The rebuild included a new Yanmar engine, a complete B&G electronics and battery system, new standing rigging, and a full North 3Di sail inventory completed in 2024. Mast and rigging upgrades were managed by SeaTek Yachting, while cosmetic finishing was completed by Dencho Marine.
The boat accommodates three cabins and one head. With its redesigned deck layout, reinforced rig, and systems refresh, the J/122 is set up for both racing campaigns and offshore passages.
