This 2022 Bali Catspace is a 40-foot catamaran built by Chantier Catana around the Bali concept of open-plan living. The three-cabin owner's version balances generous accommodation with practical ease of use in a compact format. Twin Yanmar diesel engines with saildrive transmissions provide propulsion, paired with a fully battened mainsail and self-tacking solent on furler for straightforward sailing.
The layout centres on a spacious owner's cabin to port, featuring an island bed, extensive storage, dressing area, sofa, desk and private bathroom. The starboard hull houses two guest cabins, creating a practical configuration for private cruising or family use. A forward crew and storage area completes the accommodation plan.
The main living spaces are the boat's defining feature—the saloon and aft cockpit form an expansive open-plan area, while the L-shaped galley connects directly to the forward cockpit through a wide serving window. This sociable layout encourages life aboard and relaxed cruising. The boat carries approximately 400 litres of fuel, 700 litres of fresh water, two 55-litre black water tanks and a 265-litre refrigerator/freezer combination. Equipment includes shore power, battery charger, inverter, hot water system, electric and manual bilge pumps, Raymarine electronics and a hard bimini. The Catspace is CE Category A certified for 10 persons.
