This 2008 Judel and Vrolijk TP 52 is a composite-hulled offshore racing yacht designed and built to contest serious blue-water competition. The boat measures 51.84 feet in length with a 14.47-foot beam and is powered by a single 60 hp Yanmar diesel engine.
The yacht has been continuously upgraded and maintained to competitive standards. Recent work includes new rudder bearings installed in October 2025, a full strip and re-antifoul completed in November 2025, and a new Harken string drop system (scheduled for installation). The running rigging was replaced during 2024 and 2025, with most rope seeing use in only two regattas. Structural upgrades to the rig include Nitrologic 50 rod rigging from 2021, an IRC bowsprit added in 2022, and Armare Dyneema runners and lower forestay fitted in 2021 and 2024 respectively. The keel bulb was optimised in 2021, and hydraulic valves were replaced in 2022.
The sail wardrobe comprises a mixed inventory from Quantum, North, and Doyle, configured for both offshore passages and regatta racing. The boat is equipped and maintained for immediate racing use, combining proven offshore engineering with documented competitive success.
