This 2008 Lagoon 420 is an owner's version catamaran with the three-cabin layout typical of the model. Built on a fiberglass hull, she's powered by a single 30 hp Yanmar diesel engine and spans 41 feet in length with a 24-foot beam, offering the generous volume for which the design is known. The boat has approximately 3500 hours on the engine, which was last serviced in January 2024 following a full 1000-hour service schedule.
The owner's layout provides comfortable accommodations with a practical interior that reflects normal use over the years. Recent updates include new upholstery on cushions, a modern anthracite kitchen worktop, and a Vitrifrigo freezer and microwave. A 60-liter-per-hour watermaker, 1000Ah battery bank with management system, 1800W solar panels, 3000W inverter, and petrol generator support extended cruising independence. A freshwater pump and electric toilet pumps were renewed, and windows were resealed in 2022.
Navigation and communication systems have been updated with a nine-inch Raymarine Axiom plotter rewired into a new NMEA network, a Raymarine Ray50 VHF, and an AIS system. A Fusion audio system provides entertainment. The sail plan includes a Quantum jib, mainsail replaced in 2018 with new stackpack, and a Parasailor for downwind sailing. Standing rigging including forestay and cap shrouds was renewed in 2018, and the mainsail incidence system was updated.
The anchoring system features a new windlass gearbox and electric motor, with 3-blade folding propellers and rudder bearings recently replaced. A 2019 Hypalon dinghy with a 2020 Tohatsu 15 hp outboard mounted on electric davits rounds out the equipment. Engine mounts and starter batteries were renewed in 2022 and 2024 respectively, and all valves and seacocks were replaced in 2017.
