2008 Lagoon 500

This 2008 Lagoon 500 is a 51-foot composite catamaran built for extended cruising, with the beam and volume typical of the model. Twin Yammer diesel engines of 75 horsepower each power the yacht via sail-drive, with approximately 2,330 hours on the engines and recent maintenance completed in 2025. The boat is equipped with solar panels and a wind generator for sustainable energy at sea.

The interior features four double cabins, one of which has been converted into a technical space for additional storage or specialized equipment. The saloon and accommodations are bright and spacious, suited to long-term living aboard. Four heads serve the layout. The galley includes a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, with hot water and air conditioning throughout. An integrated converter and battery charger support the electrical systems.

Navigation equipment is comprehensive: radar, GPS, VHF, autopilot, and AIS. Additional instruments include chartplotter, depth sounder, wind speed and direction indicators, and bow thruster for maneuvering. The deck is outfitted with new canopy and bimini covers installed in 2025, a new lazy bag, and a versatile sail plan comprising roller-furling jib, mainsail, spinnaker, code zero, and gennaker. Canvas awnings provide shade and weather protection across the sun deck, mooring area, cockpit, and cabin roof. A hydraulic swim platform with swim ladder and shower, boarding passerelle, and cockpit cushions complete the setup. An included 40-horsepower Yamaha tender with center console rounds out the package.
