This 39-foot Downeast is built to a Paul Gartside design and constructed using cold-molded wood techniques by Jespersen Boat Builder in Sidney, BC. Bronze fittings from Port Townsend Foundry trim the boat throughout, chosen for durability and finish.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated Perkins M-135 diesel, which operates smoothly across a range from 7 to 12 knots. The engine includes a trolling valve for reduced-speed fishing.
The interior is well appointed, and the cockpit provides ample space for working or entertaining. The boat combines traditional downeast proportions with solid construction and refined detailing.
