The Delphia 40.3 is a 40-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built by Polish shipyard Delphia Yachts. Rated for ocean voyaging, this 2009 model combines a robust hull design with a spacious interior suited to extended offshore passage-making and liveaboard cruising. Power comes from a Volvo Penta 55hp diesel with a new MaxProp 3-blade feathering propeller installed in 2025. Sails include a Selden furling mast with furling mainsail, a new 135% North Sails furling genoa from 2023, and a full complement of winches and control systems led aft through rope clutches.
The interior spreads across four cabins and two heads. The forward cabin has a vee berth with hanging locker and storage. Two aft cabins offer generous hanging lockers and cabinet space, while a crew cabin (converted to storage) completes the cabin plan. The saloon features a large dinette to port with drop-down teak table, centerline bench seating, and a forward-facing nav station. The galley holds a two-burner propane stove with oven, stainless sink with drawers, and Isotherm 12-volt refrigeration. Both heads have sinks with pull-out shower faucets and Jabsco manual toilets.
A comprehensive 2023 refit modernized all major systems. The electronics suite is new, featuring a Raymarine Axiom Pro 9 chartplotter, Quantum 2 Doppler radar, EV-20 autopilot, 650 AIS, and associated instruments, paired with a Standard Horizon Matrix VHF. Electrical systems were completely rewired with new 12-volt and 120-volt AC circuits, a Victron 2000-watt inverter/charger, and three new AGM house batteries. A 2400-watt solar array (three 800-watt panels) provides renewable power generation. Additional cruising equipment includes a Sea Pro 21gph watermaker, hot and cold pressure water systems, davits with an Innovocean 10-foot dinghy and new Honda 5hp outboard, and a portable Honda generator.
Deck features include a dodger, bimini, and connector; quick anchor windlass; leather-wrapped wheel; Magma propane barbecue; cockpit table with integrated cooler; and transom shower. The boat carries a Fortress anchor with 150 feet of chain and includes a high-water bilge alarm, auto fire extinguisher system in the engine compartment, and various spares and safety equipment.
