The 2009 Maxi 1300 is a 42-foot racing-cruiser built by Maxi Yachts in Sweden to a design by Pelle Petterson. The fiberglass hull measures 12.5 feet in beam. Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-55F diesel engine of 55 hp, paired with a Saildrive transmission and 180-liter fuel tank. A complete engine service is planned before sale, including replacement of the Saildrive seal.
Below deck, the boat offers three cabins with eight berths across the full accommodation, plus two heads. The layout includes a chart table, galley with gas stove and gimbaled oven, refrigerator, and freezer. Comfort systems feature a 40-liter Webasto hot-water heater and Airtronic D5 heating delivering up to 5,500 watts. Electrical systems comprise Mastervolt distribution with both 12-volt and 220-volt circuits and shore-power connection.
The sail plan comprises a semi-battened mainsail of 49 square meters, a genoa of 40.3 square meters, foresail, forestaysail, and Code 0. Rigging includes manual genoa furler, automatic reefing system, and all halyards and control lines led aft to the helm, optimized for reduced crew. Deck gear includes an electric winch, electric anchor windlass, and retractable bow thruster. Both wheels are teak, as are the cockpit and toe rails. An opening companionway hood and courtesy lighting complete the exterior.
Navigation and electronics are built around a Raymarine suite: E90W GPS, Axiom+ 7 plotter installed in 2022, two ST70 displays, ST70 log, sounder, autopilot, and VHF 240E. A compass and wind instrument round out the system. The boat also carries teak decking throughout the cockpit area and handrails.
