This 2011 Schionning 1190 is a 39-foot composite catamaran built in Australia using premium Durakore strip plank construction with WEST epoxy and carbon fibre reinforcement in high-load areas. Powered by two 20-horsepower Honda outboards, she combines performance sailing capability with practical long-range cruising design. Her hull features copper coating for protection.
The catamaran is equipped with lifting daggerboards, kick-up rudders, and fully retractable outboards, allowing shallow-water anchorages and access to remote cruising grounds typical cruising cats cannot reach. She includes a watermaker and extensive cruising inventory as part of her setup.
Recent major work completed between 2023 and 2024 included new Ronstan standing rigging, new Dyneema running rigging, full outboard service, new solar system components, new composite through-hulls, and new cockpit and saloon covers. The hulls have been copper-coated. Comprehensive build documentation, original completion survey, and pre-purchase survey records are available with the boat.
