The 2012 Hylas 49CC is a fiberglass cruising sailboat built by Queen Long in Taiwan. Powered by a 75-horsepower Yammer diesel engine, the boat measures 49 feet in length with a 14-foot beam. The design offers three cabins and two heads, providing comfortable accommodation for extended voyages.
The interior reflects careful ownership and maintenance. Custom mattresses with lee cloths outfit every cabin, with duplicate sets onboard to accommodate different configurations. Three air conditioning systems maintain comfortable temperatures year-round. The galley includes a water maker that requires no manual pickling and ten gallons of hot water capacity for showers. The Momba steering system from Lewmar is fitted throughout.
Deck equipment emphasizes sailing performance and ease of handling. Electric winches and in-boom furling simplify sail management. A carbon fiber spinnaker pole is included alongside a full complement of sails—mainsail, jib, asymmetrical spinnaker, storm sail, and anchor sail. The boat carries a man overboard pole, inflatable fenders, and adjustable mast rake.
The owner has maintained comprehensive records from the day of original ownership and included extensive spare parts and systems: Yammer engine components, refrigeration rebuild kit, generator gasket set, lifelines, water pump, fuel pump, alternator, head parts, new shaft seal, and a new Harken traveler car. Bottom paint and underwater lights were recently refreshed. A custom passarelle is included.
