A 2012 SAFE Boats 44 Archangel Self Righting, this 45-foot aluminum explorer is engineered for extreme offshore conditions. The boat features a patented self-righting design with multiple watertight compartments and integrated air flotation chambers, enabling it to roll upright in heavy seas. Rated for 20-foot seas, 15-foot breaking waves, and 50-knot winds, it operates at a shallow draft of 2 feet 8 inches and has a nautical range of 250 miles. The hull incorporates reinforced stringers and keel structure, with an integrated tow post rated for 100 displacement tons.

The cabin is fully watertight with a forward survivor compartment featuring a sealed entry door and overhead escape hatch. Additional watertight bulkheads divide the engine room and separate main engine and jet hatches. The main cabin incorporates self-righting air chambers integrated into the top, complemented by bow and stern flotation compartments. A patented foam collar system runs the perimeter of the hull as a final safety layer.

Power comes from twin Caterpillar C9 ACERT marine engines producing 567 horsepower each, paired with ZF transmissions and Hamilton HJ322 jets. Electronic Vector Systems joystick controls manage steering, engine RPM, and directional jets, with redundant helm stations on both port and starboard. Shockwave suspension seats accommodate a crew of four with multipoint rollover-rated harnesses. Systems throughout are fully redundant: dual generators and inverters, dual heat and air conditioning units, and dual sea strainers with automatic failover. Fire suppression, CCTV monitoring, and oil reserve systems with electronic rollover reset protect the engines. All systems were serviced or refurbished in 2025, with oil analysis and compression test documentation available.

A matching aluminum transport trailer with 40,000-pound capacity, shipping cradle, spare engines, transmissions, jets, exhaust system, and comprehensive maintenance kits are included with the boat.
