2014 Ranger Tugs R-27

The R-27 is a 27-foot fiberglass trawler built by Ranger Tugs with a single 200 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine. The design centers on nearly 50 square feet of aft deck space—about 25 percent more than the earlier R-25 model—which houses the engine while keeping noise out of the cabin and providing generous storage both above and below deck.

Below, the cabin includes a spacious V-berth forward that sleeps two and measures over 6 feet 6 inches in length. A dinette with a hydraulic piston table converts to either a berth or lounge area, and a midship space also converts to sleeping for two. The galley is equipped with a sink, refrigerator, inverter, microwave, and combination propane stove and oven. The marine head features an electric flush toilet, a glass vessel sink, and a shower.

The boat is outfitted with bow and stern thrusters for docking maneuverability and an 8-foot 6-inch beam that allows for trailering. Optional equipment includes solar panels and a Webasto diesel furnace to support extended cruising in the Pacific Northwest.
