2015 Amel 55

This 2015 Amel 55 is a three-cabin cruising yacht built for extended offshore passage-making and comfortable long-term living. At 56.76 feet with a beam of 16.37 feet, the yacht combines the seaworthiness Amel is known for with a modern fit-out. Power comes from a Volvo Penta D3-110 diesel engine with 825 operating hours, supported by a 270-litre auxiliary fuel tank with transfer pump.

The yacht is equipped for self-sufficient cruising. A 11 kW Onan diesel generator (790 hours), watermaker producing 240 litres per hour, and comprehensive battery systems—Mastervolt lithium and gel banks upgraded in 2021—support extended passages. Climate control includes a Webasto heating system, air conditioning throughout, and a freshwater system with 230V/240Lph capacity. An integrated galley features a dishwasher and washer/dryer combination.

Navigation and communication are current. Recent upgrades include a Furuno Navnet TZ 16-inch touchscreen display (2024), a Furuno GP39 GPS at the chart table, and dual independent Furuno Navpilot autopilots. Connectivity is provided by Starlink antenna and 4G router. The electrical system includes a 24V/230V Mastervolt inverter and solar panels on the hardtop structure.

Sails are managed by electric systems: a Reckman furler handles the genoa and staysail, while Harken electric winches assist on deck. The sail package includes a triradial Hydranet main, genoa, staysail, and code zero. Deck equipment includes 12 new low-profile hatches with aluminium frames, an Opacmare hydraulic gangway, and a full cockpit enclosure. Interior finishes were recently updated, with new saloon upholstery and refresh cushion work. The boat carries a Zodiac eight-person liferaft and a 3D Tender 330 with a Yamaha 6hp outboard (2018). Internal and external camera systems are installed throughout.
