2015 Hallberg-Rassy 55

The Hallberg-Rassy 55 is a robust ocean-going cruising yacht built to serious standards. This 2015 example represents the refined iteration of the design, featuring a redesigned deck with flush-mounted hatches and a lowered aft shearline for a cleaner profile. Below, enlarged portlights and four hull portlights flood the saloon with natural light, while the aft head draws its design from the larger Hallberg-Rassy 64. The white hydraulic furling mast and boom work with two furling headsails for simplified sail handling. A centre cockpit hardtop provides weather protection, and twin bow and stern thrusters with docking function assist in tight quarters.

The interior comprises three cabins with double berths throughout. The owner's cabin aft features a centred berth with en suite head. The saloon sits amidships with two sofas flanking the space, a navigation table to starboard, and a longitude galley to port. Four electric winches manage sail trim, while dual autopilots and a complete Raymarine navigation suite support extended offshore cruising.

Power comes from a 180 hp Volvo D4 engine paired with a Gori propeller. The yacht carries lithium batteries installed in 2022, 650 watts of solar panels, a diesel generator, and a watermaker for self-sufficiency at sea. An inflatable tender with outboard, hydraulic gangway, and 32 kg anchor with 70 metres of stainless steel chain complete the equipment list. The mainsail, genoa, and jib are from 2023; the induction cooktop and electric oven date to 2022. Recent additions include Starlink satellite communication fitted in 2024.

The yacht has been actively cruised and is reported in sound overall condition, recently returned from extended Mediterranean and Atlantic passages including a crossing to the Norwegian Arctic.
