This 2015 X-Yachts XP 55 is a 55-foot fiberglass racing cruiser built for performance and comfort. The hull combines fiberglass and carbon fiber with a Corecell foam core, vacuum-infused in epoxy and post-cured for structural integrity. A bolted T-bulb keel with a lead ballast bulb and cast iron fin is supported by a carbon-fiber grid inside the hull. The boat is powered by a Yanmar 110 hp diesel engine with 305 hours of service and a Fisher Panda 15kW generator with 47 hours.
On deck, the design balances racing capability with cruising practicality. Natural teak covers the deck and coach roof, complemented by a clean, modern cockpit aesthetic. Twin wheels control a single deep spade rudder. The boat features a fold-away cockpit table, spacious dinghy garage, and fold-down transom. Harken Performa winches and full Harken hydraulics manage the vang and backstay tensioner. A comprehensive B&G electronics suite includes dual H5000 processors, dual 12-inch and one 9-inch Zeus2 plotters, a Simrad VHF with AIS, Radar 4G, and integrated autopilot. The deck is outfitted with a carbon bowsprit, lazy jacks, and a Nav50 vang system.
Below, Danish-modern interiors blend with a traditional cruising layout. The galley sits port-side with a dedicated nav desk opposite. A conventional saloon holds a dinette to port and straight settee to starboard. The forward owner's stateroom features an island double berth with ensuite head and shower. Two aft staterooms provide guest accommodation with sea berths. Spring mattresses, leather and Alcantara upholstery, and teak floorboards complete the interior.
The boat carries an extensive sail inventory, including a Quantum MR7600 5-reef mainsail, furling jib, and Code Zero asymmetrical with top-down furler. Interior systems include three zones of air conditioning, a Force 10 three-burner stove with oven, Frigonautic fridge with freezer box, Eberspacher heating, hot water system, and shore power with a 24/3000 combi charger. A retractable bow thruster and full suite of deck equipment support both racing and cruising operation.
