2015 Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII

The 2015 Hinckley Picnic Boat 37 MKIII is built on a composite hull featuring Kevlar-E-glass hybrid outer skin, aircraft-grade end-grain balsa below the waterline, and a carbon-fiber inner skin, all laminated with vinylester resin using the SCRIMP process. The twin Volvo D6-435 hp common rail diesel engines deliver a 35-knot cruising speed with a maximum of approximately 38 knots. Power comes through Hamilton 274 jet drives with ZF 63 transmissions, and the boat features a 7-inch hydraulic variable thrust bow thruster integrated with the Jetstick II control system, which includes heading hold and hover lock capabilities for responsive handling.

The 37-foot boat accommodates an island queen berth forward with an optional settee to port, complemented by a private head and galley. The pilothouse offers full air conditioning with two 10,000 BTU units, electric opening hatches with screens, and settee seating that converts to additional berths. The cabin features 6 feet 2 inches of standing headroom and extensive satin-varnished cherry cabinetry throughout. The cockpit includes optional teak decking, transom door, and aft-facing seating, while optional refrigeration and an insulated cooler are positioned at the amenity areas between cockpit and pilothouse.

The boat is outfitted with comprehensive navigation and entertainment systems, including a 16-inch Garmin chartplotter with 4 kW radar, Garmin autopilot, AIS VHF, a Fusion stereo system with Bluetooth, and a KVH satellite TV system with DirecTV. Power comes from twin 12-volt AGM battery banks, a 110-volt shore power system with a Victron inverter-charger, and an optional 9 kW Onan generator with approximately 260 hours of operation. The teak package throughout includes varnished decking in the pilothouse and cockpit, handrails, and cabin appointments. Recent mechanical service and bottom paint were completed.
