2015 Nautitech 40 Open

This 2015 Nautitech 40 Open is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising with a focus on comfort and self-sufficiency. The 39-foot hull spans 21 feet across the beam, providing the spacious interior and stable platform typical of the design. Two Volvo Penta D1-30F diesel engines deliver 60 horsepower each and have logged 1,500 hours; both are fitted with folding three-blade propellers.

The interior accommodates six people across three cabins and two heads. The layout prioritizes both privacy and social space, with ample room for crew comfort on longer passages. Climate control comes via fans in each cabin, while the galley features a three-burner gas stove with an oven, a 130-liter refrigerator, a 55-liter freezer, and a 40-liter water heater. A 120-liter-per-hour watermaker and onboard tools support independent cruising.

Power systems center on dual Victron lithium batteries (200Ah service bank), charged by 280 watts of solar panels, a Victron inverter-charger, and engine alternators. Navigation and monitoring are handled by a complete Raymarine suite including dual Axiom chart plotters, dual P70 autopilots, wind and depth sensors, and AIS. The sailing plan includes a full-batten mainsail with three reefs, a self-tacking genoa on a Facnor furling system, and a gennaker; all sails are original and reported in good condition, with rigging checked annually.

Deck equipment includes an electric windlass with remote, a primary Rocna anchor with 50 meters of chain, an emergency anchor system, Rutgerson davits, cockpit shower with hot and cold water, and comprehensive covers for weather protection. A 2020 Highfield tender with a Mercury 8-horsepower engine is included.
