2015 Outremer 51

The Outremer 51 is a performance catamaran designed for extended bluewater cruising. This example features the Owner's Version layout with three cabins: a full-beam master suite on one hull with a king bed and private head, a king cabin on the starboard side, and a forward double berth with single bunk. The design delivers a naturally warm and inviting interior with bamboo and teak trim, creating a calm atmosphere enhanced by the sound of water against the hulls and unobstructed ocean views.

Built with high-specification carbon mast and additional carbon reinforcement in the main bulkhead, the catamaran is engineered for efficient performance under sail. A single 40 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine provides auxiliary power, with cruising speeds of 8 knots and maximum speed of 10 knots. Electric winches ease sail handling and make light-air sailing effortless despite the reduced weight from the carbon construction.

Recent upgrades include a new 1500Ah lithium battery bank for extended power autonomy, a complete reconfiguration of the AC electrical system to 220V worldwide standard, and a new Code Zero sail on a dedicated furler for enhanced downwind performance. Two heads service the accommodations, and the yacht comes equipped with everything required for extended cruising. The catamaran has been maintained and upgraded throughout its ownership history and has never been used for charter.
