2015 Ranger Tugs R-31 CB

The 2015 Ranger Tugs R-31 CB is a 31-foot fiberglass trawler designed for extended cruising while remaining trailerable. Powered by a single Volvo Penta D4-300 diesel engine with 653 hours, the boat achieves a cruising speed of 12 to 16 knots and a top speed of around 20 knots. The R-31 was the first Ranger Tug to feature a flybridge equipped with electronic controls at both upper and lower helm stations, and the flybridge retracts to accommodate trailering. Bow and stern thrusters with wireless remote, hydraulic trim tabs, and an aft steering station with slow-troll transmission support precision handling and fishing.

The interior holds two staterooms: a forward master with an island berth, en-suite head, and storage, and a midship guest cabin with flexibility for berth or storage use. The salon features a convertible dinette and pilot seat, teak cabinetry and flooring, and an opening bulkhead window and swing-open salon door that connect the interior to the cockpit. The galley is fitted with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, propane stove/oven, and solid-surface countertops. A separate marine head with electric fresh water flush toilet and shower stall serves the accommodation spaces. Webasto diesel heating is installed throughout.

The foredeck includes a sun pad and safe walkaround access, with a raised-and-lowered table for entertaining at anchor or dock. The fully enclosed aft cockpit features wraparound seating that converts to face forward or aft, a removable table, and a rear deck utility sink. A transom door provides access to the swim platform with boarding ladder. Teak cabinetry, a fuel capacity of 180 gallons, and a 180-gallon fuel tank support extended voyaging.

Electronics include Garmin GPSMAP multifunction displays, radar, autopilot, VHF radios, depth sounder, and fishfinder functions. A Fusion stereo system with interior and exterior speakers, remote spotlight, navigation lights, solar panel, inverter/charger system, and portable 3500-watt generator complete the equipment. Factory-installed safety features include bilge pumps, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire suppression systems.
