The 2016 Aquila 48 is a fiberglass power catamaran built for extended cruising and offshore operation. She measures 48 feet in length with a 23.5-foot beam and draws 3 feet 7 inches. Twin Volvo D6-330 diesel engines produce 660 horsepower combined, with the port engine showing 2,758 hours and the starboard at 2,754 hours. A 16-kilowatt generator with 18,330 hours supports the onboard systems. Fuel capacity is 356 gallons with 206 gallons of fresh water storage.
Below deck, the yacht accommodates four cabins with four ensuite heads. The main salon features panoramic 360-degree views and flows into the galley. Aft cabins include convertible beds configured as either single or full-size. A watermaker supplies fresh water, and chilled-water air conditioning cools the interior. The boat carries a dinghy with an electric davit winch system for deployment.
The flybridge centers on a helm station with excellent sightlines and is equipped with a complete Raymarine electronics package: E125 chartplotter, Evolution autopilot with P70 control, I70 multifunction display, CAM200 aft camera, and VHF radio. The flybridge also includes a wet bar, electric grill, and two sun pads, with internal stairs providing direct access to the main salon below.
A major refit was completed 18 months prior, with maintenance records available. The boat has proven hull integrity and was quickly returned to service after weather exposure in 2017. Fuel and water tankage, along with the generator output, support long-distance passages and comfortable extended cruising.
