The 2016 Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 is a three-cabin, two-head owner's version catamaran built from fiberglass with a 40-foot length and 21.58-foot beam. She is powered by two Volvo diesel engines rated at 60 horsepower each. The design combines spacious accommodation with the stability and efficiency of catamaran construction, making her well-suited to extended offshore cruising.

Recent upgrades reflect a serious commitment to self-sufficiency and reliability. The boat features 810 watts of solar power paired with a 540-ampere-hour lithium battery bank, a 15-gallon-per-hour watermaker, and new alternators installed in 2024. The rig includes a new mainsail and jib from 2025, a spinnaker, and a new port diamond stay from 2024. New propellers were fitted in 2025, and a fresh trampoline was installed in 2024.

The hull received a full detail, polish, and fresh antifouling coating in 2025.
