This 2020 Lagoon 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built for extended cruising and comfortable liveaboard use. At 40 feet with a 22-foot beam, she combines the spacious, light-filled interior that Lagoon is known for with a practical, manageable design. Twin Yanmar diesel engines provide reliable propulsion, and a full suite of modern navigation electronics — including twin B&G Zeus 3S 12-inch chartplotters, autopilot, AIS, and VHF with wireless handset — ensures confident passage-making. The boat is equipped with a Fisher Panda generator, reverse-cycle air conditioning, a 60 L/hr watermaker, and four 300Ah lithium batteries installed in 2025, giving real autonomy for time away from shore power.
The layout provides four spacious cabins, each with its own ensuite head and electric Quiet Flush toilet. Two cabins occupy each hull, arranged symmetrically for balanced weight distribution. The cabins feature opening portholes, full-size mirrors, 12V fans, USB charging, and upgraded under-bed slats. Natural light flows throughout thanks to expansive hull windows and panoramic glazing. The salon includes a convertible double berth, and the nav station to port holds a second B&G chartplotter and charging station. A Fusion sound system with cockpit speakers provides entertainment.
The galley is fitted with a 3-burner propane cooktop, propane oven, and refrigerator drawers with good storage space. The aft cockpit features a fixed dining table and numerous compartments, while the forward cockpit offers sunbed seating. The boat carries a self-tacking Dacron mainsail and jib suited to short-handed sailing. Exterior features include stainless steel davits with manual winch, a boarding ladder, electric windlass with remote controls at bow and helm, and a deckwash pump for fresh or saltwater use. PVC cockpit cushions, wooden pulpit seats, and an outboard engine bracket complete the setup.
Optional equipment available includes an additional 300-liter water tank and a 100-liter refrigerator. The shallow draft expands access to shallow anchorages and remote locations throughout the region.
