2020 Leopard 40

This 2020 Leopard 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built during the final production year of this model. At 40 feet long with a 22-foot beam, she combines the shallow draft and spacious interior typical of the Leopard line with the robust construction Leopard is known for. Twin Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engines (29 hp each, 1,850 hours) deliver a maximum speed of 7.8 knots and power her efficiently through extended cruising.

The layout includes three cabins and two heads, with the aft cabins featuring semi-island berths introduced in the 2018 redesign. The owner's suite benefits from expanded space and refined storage arrangements, while the forward-facing galley remains a signature feature. Throughout, the design emphasizes open-plan living and natural light, with cabin fans and professional-grade climate control via two Dometic 16,000 BTU air conditioning units.

This yacht has been privately used only, never chartered. Recent yard work included bottom paint, saildrive service with seal replacement, minor fiberglass restoration, and waxing. A professional out-of-water survey has been completed. Windows were professionally rebedded, and interior blinds have been installed.

The boat carries substantial cruising equipment: 1,095 watts of hard solar panels on a custom stainless rack, a 900 amp-hour lithium house battery bank, a Spectra Newport 400 watermaker, and a Northern Lights 6 kW generator (800 hours). Navigation systems include a 12-inch Raymarine Axiom chartplotter with autopilot, VHF, HD radar, and AIS transceiver.
