The 2016 Nautitech 40 Open is a fiberglass catamaran built for comfortable cruising and relaxed living aboard. She spans 39 feet with a 21-foot beam, offering the spacious hull design that defines the 40 Open platform. Twin Volvo Penta diesel engines, newly installed in 2023, provide 60 horsepower each and deliver a cruising speed of 6 knots with a maximum speed of 14 knots.
The interior accommodates six cabins with two heads, suitable for extended cruising or entertaining guests. The cockpit was substantially refreshed between 2021 and 2024, with real teak decking replacing the original Flexiteak in 2022, new enclosure and cushions in 2021, and additional interior cushions renewed in 2023. Heavy-duty stainless steel davits installed in 2022 with added Dyneema support in 2023 secure a Highfield 310UL tender that is included with the boat, along with a Honda 8 HP outboard.
Recent upgrades have modernized the yacht throughout. New mainsail and jib, a new lazybag, and a replacement main bank gel battery system all arrived in 2023. An additional autopilot remote at the port helm was added in 2022. The boat has received professional annual winter maintenance and haul-outs since new.
A Highfield 310UL dinghy and Honda 8 HP outboard engine are included.
