2018 Leopard 40

The 2018 Leopard 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built in the Owner's Version configuration, offering three cabins and two heads. Powered by twin Yammer 3-cylinder diesel engines, the boat features a light ash interior that creates an open, contemporary atmosphere. Notable upgrades include dual air-conditioning units with reverse cycle heat, a Spectra watermaker installed in 2024, and a washing machine for extended cruising comfort.

The main salon includes a flexible layout with a dinette that converts to a full-size berth, while the galley is outfitted with an Eno 3-burner stove and separate oven, complemented by Vitrifrigo refrigeration. Navigation and onboard systems center on a Raymarine suite: a 9-inch Axiom touchscreen chartplotter, i70s tri-data display, p70s autopilot, and a Ray60 VHF radio with AIS added in 2024. Sails consist of a fully battened Ullman mainsail on a Z Spars aluminum mast and a furling genoa, both serviced recently, with Lewmar self-tailing winches including an electric halyard winch.

The boat has undergone substantial recent maintenance and upgrades. A full haul-out included fresh bottom paint, hull wax and polish, saildrive service, and comprehensive bottom inspection. New additions from 2023–2024 encompass the genoa, running rigging, a Highfield 12-foot dinghy with a new Honda 15-horsepower outboard, electric head pumps, AGM battery bank updates, helm enclosure, cockpit and bow cushions, and a Magma grill. Power generation includes a Northern Lights 6-kilowatt generator and a portable Honda backup unit, while a Victron battery charger manages electrical systems.

Deck equipment comprises electric anchor windlass, stainless steel davits with electric winch, 45-pound Delta anchor with secondary Danforth, solar panels, and a transom shower. Fresh water capacity totals 206 gallons across two tanks, with 95 gallons of fuel capacity.
