The 2016 North Pacific 45 Pilothouse is a fiberglass trawler built for extended cruising and comfortable living aboard. At nearly 47 feet with a 13.67-foot beam, she combines seaworthy proportions with the raised pilothouse design that defines the NP45. Power comes from a Cummins 355-horsepower QSB6.7L diesel engine with approximately 2,200 hours, delivering cruising speeds of 7 to 10 knots and a top speed near 11 knots. Fuel efficiency ranges from 3 gallons per hour at 7 knots to 10 gallons per hour at 10 knots.
The layout centers on two cabins and one head. The master stateroom holds a modified island queen bed with access from both sides. The guest cabin includes two single beds. The main salon is notably spacious, with two recliners on the starboard side and a dinette to port. The galley features dual stainless steel sinks, substantial counter space, a good-sized refrigerator and freezer, and ample storage throughout.
The pilothouse offers excellent all-around visibility for commanding and crew comfort. The flybridge is generously sized, suited for entertaining, with room for the included 10.5-foot Walker Bay dinghy. A hinged, folding hardtop keeps the air draft to approximately 14.5 feet. Navigation and monitoring are handled by a full suite of Garmin electronics in both the pilothouse and on the flybridge.
Beyond the main systems, the boat carries a 9-kilowatt Northern Lights generator, a 2,800-watt inverter and charger, bow and stern thrusters, a water maker, and three separate 16,000-BTU air-conditioning and heating units. The galley area is pre-plumbed and prepped for washer and dryer installation. A Nick Jackson flybridge davit is fitted for dinghy handling.
