2016 Ranger Tugs R-27

The 2016 Ranger Tugs R-27 is a fiberglass trawler built for coastal cruising and backed by a single 200-horsepower Volvo diesel engine. The boat reaches a top speed of 19 knots and cruises comfortably at 15.6 knots. Trim tabs aid handling and maneuverability, while bow and stern thrusters support precise docking. The modest 8.5-foot beam and relatively light weight allow the yacht to be trailered.

The cabin layout centers on two sleeping spaces and a flexible main salon. The forward V-berth accommodates two adults and stretches over 6 feet 5 inches long. Amidships, an office area with desk and seat folds into an additional two-person berth. A dinette table mounted on hydraulic pistons converts between dining, lounging, and sleeping configurations. The galley features a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and combination propane stove and oven, while an inverter supports onboard power. The single head is equipped with an electric flush toilet, glass sink, and shower.

Deck space totals nearly 50 square feet aft, providing easy access to the engine compartment while keeping noise isolated from the cabin. A full cockpit camper enclosure and custom cockpit seating complete the exterior. The boat comes with a 2012 Pioneer tandem-axle aluminum utility trailer.
