2016 Tofinou 8m

This 2016 Tofinou 8m is a French-built daysailer combining classical design with modern performance. At 26 feet long with an 8-foot-4-inch beam, the boat features a teak deck and cockpit, varnished mahogany detailing, and a carbon bowsprit. A single Nanni 10 hp diesel inboard powers the boat, which weighs approximately 5,000 pounds with 1,500 pounds of ballast. The hydraulic centerboard allows for shallow-water exploration while maintaining a 6-foot-3-inch draft when fully deployed.

The boat sleeps four with a v-berth and two quarter berths, plus a small cuddy cabin. The spacious cockpit is the centerpiece for day sailing, outfitted with tiller steering, Harken 2-speed winches, and an autopilot with tiller arm. A roller furling jib with below-deck furler, self-tacking jib, mainsail, genoa, and gennaker provide comprehensive sail options. Electronics include Raymarline speed and depth instrumentation, an autopilot, and compass for navigation.

The rig combines a coated aluminum mast and boom with a carbon bowsprit for a responsive, lightweight setup. Deck hardware is stainless steel throughout, with a swim ladder and twin-blade folding propeller for ease of handling. Below deck, two AGM batteries support the electrical systems and an electric bilge pump. The engine has logged 95 hours of operation.
