The 2017 Fountaine Pajot SABA 50 is a 49-foot fiberglass catamaran powered by twin 150-horsepower Volvo diesel engines, capable of cruising at 8 knots with a maximum speed of 11 knots. The Maestro version features a private owner's suite occupying an entire hull, three guest cabins each with ensuite, and a skipper's cabin in the starboard bow. All accommodations are fully air-conditioned, and the boat sleeps five guests plus crew across five heads.
The saloon is accessed via an extra-wide entry door and opens to the cockpit, with skylights and panoramic windows providing natural light throughout. The L-shaped galley includes an island, new appliances, and substantial refrigeration. The aft deck shelters a large lounge area with a dining table for 12, icemaker, and bar fridge. The upper lounge deck spans 12.4 square meters with a chaise lounge, sunbathing areas, and an expansive foredeck sun lounge. The helm station provides 360-degree visibility under a new hardtop bimini with all-weather clear panels.
The boat was serviced in November 2024 with new engine turbos, heat exchangers, and control boxes installed. The Volvo engines also received a rebuild and new sail drive. A comprehensive refit included new teak decks, solar panels, chart plotter, autopilot, and all new halyards and lines. All lines and halyards return to the helm through electric winches for simplified handling.
