A 2017 Leopard 40 catamaran built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin Yanmar diesel engines. This 40-foot design spans 22 feet beam and accommodates four cabins with two heads, making it well-suited for extended cruising. The boat delivers the sailing performance and seaworthy reputation the Leopard 40 has earned among cruising sailors, with a spacious cockpit and salon layout typical of the design.
Recent servicing and upgrades have brought the boat to working order. The twin Yammer 3YM30 engines received extensive work including new mounts, hoses, and serviced heat exchangers with fresh impellers and air filters. Drive seals, prop shaft seals, and diaphragms were renewed. A new genoa was installed, rigging inspected, and the generator overhauled with new mounts, hoses, cooling components, rotor, and bearings. Both marine heads were fully serviced with all sanitation hoses replaced, and the air-conditioning system was serviced and recharged. The autopilot control head was replaced with a new Raymarine p70s unit, a new house battery bank of three Lifeline AGM units was installed, and new cockpit cushions were fitted. One hundred fifty feet of new anchor chain was added.
The boat includes a Highfield Classic 290 aluminum tender with a 9.8-horsepower outboard engine. An inventory of genuine Yammer spare parts, valued at over $4,000 and comprising nozzle assemblies, fresh water pump, starter motor, and other service components, conveys with the boat.
