The 2017 Leopard 48 is a fiberglass catamaran built for blue-water cruising. At nearly 49 feet with a 25-foot beam, she combines the stability and spacious layout characteristic of the Leopard design. Twin Yanmar 4JH57 diesel engines deliver 114 horsepower combined and have logged 3,577 hours. She cruises at 6 knots with a top speed of 10 knots, powered by a 700-liter fuel capacity. A fully battened mainsail and 120% furling genoa complete the sailing package.
Accommodation spans four cabins with four heads plus crew berths in the forepeaks. Each cabin features a double bed, wardrobe storage, and ensuite head with shower. The main saloon opens onto a forward-facing cockpit with dining and lounging areas. A well-equipped galley includes a three-burner gas cooker with oven, microwave, and a 212-liter refrigerator-freezer. The saloon table converts to an additional berth when needed.
The electrical system centers on lithium battery banks with a 9-kilowatt Northern Lights generator and six new 185-watt solar panels installed in 2025. Navigation equipment includes twin Raymarine systems with autopilot, a new Quantum 2 radar, wind instruments, and a new Garmin AIS transceiver. Additional systems feature air conditioning, a boiler, and comprehensive deck equipment including an electric windlass, davit system with tender winch, and a 3.6-meter Highfield dinghy with 15-horsepower Mercury outboard.
