The Pogo 12.50 is a 40-foot offshore cruiser built by Structures in Brittany, designed for speed and seaworthiness without demanding complexity. First delivered in 2017, this yacht has remained in single private ownership throughout its life, used seasonally for cruising rather than charter or commercial service. A lifting keel ranging from 1.20 to 3.00 metres gives flexibility for varied waters, while the modern hull design and balanced sail plan reward both short-handed sailing and extended passages.
The open saloon takes full advantage of the 14.75-metre beam, creating surprising volume and light throughout the interior. Accommodation comprises two double cabins, a technical cabin with heads, and a forward compartment currently set up for storage but easily reconfigured for additional sleeping or bathroom space. Practical finishes and uncluttered layout reflect the yacht's purpose as a fast cruiser rather than a floating home.
Power comes from a Volvo Penta D2-40F diesel engine of 40 horsepower, with approximately 450 hours on the clock. The rig carries a carbon mast, white-painted aluminium spreaders, and an extensive sail wardrobe including a square-top main, multiple staysails, Code 0, gennaker, and spinnaker. Navigation is handled by an NKE autopilot suite, Furuno radar, AIS, and PC-based charting with Maxsea software.
Off-grid systems include a Watt&Sea hydrogenerator and solar panel, with shore power and battery charging for marina use. Twin 200-litre freshwater tanks supply hot and cold pressurised water throughout. A new Katadyn 40 watermaker is included but awaiting installation. The yacht has been wintered ashore under full cover in recent years, preserving her condition through light seasonal use.
