2017 Voyage 480

The 2017 Voyage 480 is a 48-foot fiberglass catamaran built in Cape Town, embodying South African yacht construction with a focus on solid performance and practical design. Twin 90-horsepower Yammer diesel engines drive the boat to a cruising speed of 7 knots, with a maximum speed of 9 knots. The wide 25-foot beam creates a stable platform and generous interior volume.

Accommodation includes six cabins and four heads. The layout features four spacious air-conditioned ensuite cabins plus two crew berths in the fore peaks, sleeping up to ten people total. The galley is fully equipped with a double-drawer refrigerator, large deep freezer, and ice maker. The saloon flows seamlessly into the cockpit, creating a social living space that works well for both entertaining and passage-making.

The helm station features a windlass control with all lines led aft to the cockpit, allowing single-handed operation. A fractional rig with an easy-to-handle sail plan pairs with Andersen electric winches for manageable sail handling. The cockpit includes a large table, ample seating, and a hard-top bimini; the foredeck layout is clean and uncluttered. The catamaran was recently retired from charter service. All major systems are operational: Northern Lights generator, watermaker, navigation electronics, air conditioning, and ice maker. The boat is rigged and outfitted for immediate use, whether for continued charter operation or private cruising.
