The 2018 Hinckley Picnic Boat 34 MKII combines refined downeast styling with modern performance. Twin Yanmar 320 hp diesel engines power Hamilton 274 waterjets, delivering smooth acceleration and exceptional control through the integrated Jetstick II system with heading hold and hover lock capabilities. The composite hull employs Hinckley's DualGuard Plus construction with aramid fiber and carbon reinforcement, finished in Stars and Stripes Awlgrip over a cream cabin house. Teak decks, a substantial swim platform with teak inserts, and polished stainless fittings throughout reflect meticulous build quality.
The pilothouse is built for comfortable cruising with four oversized frameless windows, powered overhead hatches with skyscreens, and individual helm seats upholstered in Luxor leather. The helm features a varnished teak instrument pod, Raymarine es127 multifunction display with sonar, autopilot, and AIS, alongside a full suite of engine and system gauges. The cockpit offers forward and aft facing settees with generous storage, a transom door to the swim platform, and a hot-and-cold cockpit shower.
Below decks, the cabin features satin-varnished cherry joinery and a teak-and-tulipwood sole. The galley to port includes a Vitrifrigo refrigerator, single-burner cooktop, and substantial storage. The private head to starboard is fitted with a Grohe shower system and VacuFlush head plumbed to a 28-gallon holding tank. Forward, the V-berth converts to a comfortable double with integrated storage and an overhead hatch.
The boat recently completed a winter service with Hinckley YachtCare. Systems include twin Lifeline AGM battery banks, dual 150-amp alternators, 35-gallon water and 160-gallon fuel capacity, and a 3-gallon hot water heater. An automatic engine room fire suppression system, three electric bilge pumps, and a proportional bow thruster round out the mechanical setup. The 12-volt electrical system is pre-wired to accept an optional generator.
