2018 Lagoon 400 S2

This 2018 Lagoon 400 S2 is a 40-foot catamaran built for comfortable cruising and extended time at sea. Twin Yanmar diesel engines producing 90 horsepower combined deliver a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 10 knots. The fiberglass hull has a beam of nearly 24 feet, providing the stability and spaciousness that defines the 400 S2 design. Power systems include 800 watts of solar panels with charge controllers, a 3,000-watt generator, and a watermaker for self-sufficiency. Diesel heating keeps the boat comfortable in cooler climates.

The boat sleeps four in separate cabins and includes two heads. The layout works well for cruising couples or families, with functional sailing systems and a comfortable interior suited to liveaboard living. Four electric winches ease sail handling and maneuvering.

Mechanically, the yacht is sound and operational. The twin Yammer engines show approximately 2,600 hours. The sails—mainsail and genoa—are worn and due for replacement. The trampoline and lazy bag show wear, and the hull would benefit from polishing. Recent maintenance has kept systems running safely and reliably.
